Word Flux
A daily word-guessing game in Turkish: find the hidden five-letter word in six tries.
The challenge
Word games are simple to learn, but many of them feel the same and lose players after a few days. Turkish players also have fewer well-designed options. The goal was a playful game that is easy to start, gives clear feedback on every guess and gives people a reason to come back tomorrow.
The approach
I kept the core rules short: guess the five-letter word in six tries, with green, yellow and grey letters as feedback. I added a hint button that reveals the category or one letter, so stuck players can keep going instead of quitting. Around the board I designed small motivation tools: games played, success rate and daily streaks, with the rules always one tap away. A dark, colourful visual style with floating letter tiles gives the game its own character.
The outcome
The result is a complete game design for web and tablet: brand, onboarding, game board, hint system, statistics and win and lose states. The project shows how small details like streaks and hints can turn a simple puzzle into a daily habit.
