The challenge

Adding a product is one of the most frequent tasks for an online store owner, but it often means long forms, many options and unclear steps. Users with variant products, such as different sizes and colours, get lost most easily. The goal was a flow that feels short and calm, even for complex products.

02

The approach

I first mapped the user flow from the dashboard to products, orders, campaigns, shipping, customers and store settings. Then I asked the most important question at the very start: is this a single product or a product with variants? Based on that choice, the user only sees the fields they need. I also reorganised the side menu by category and frequency of use, and designed the dashboard, product list and form screens as clear grey-box wireframes with short notes explaining each decision.

The outcome

The result is a full wireframe set with user flow, dashboard, product type selection and step-by-step product forms. It is ready for testing and for the visual design phase, and it shows my process for complex admin tools.
