Vita
A wellness app for fitness, nutrition and mindfulness, with an AI coach that adapts to each user.
The challenge
Many people want to live healthier, but they find it hard to stay motivated. Most health apps feel either too complex or too generic, so people stop using them after a few days. The goal was a single, calm app that covers fitness, food and mental wellbeing, and feels personal from the first screen.
The approach
I started with research: a short survey, two personas (a busy beginner and an experienced user) and an empathy map. These showed that people want small, clear steps and quick feedback, not more data. I designed a short onboarding that asks about goals and level, a home screen with swipeable daily cards, a Discover page for workouts, recipes and community, progress screens with simple charts, and an AI chat that gives personal tips and reminders. A soft green palette and SF Pro keep the interface quiet and easy to scan.
The outcome
The result is a complete mobile design: research, user flows, a small design system and high-fidelity screens for onboarding, home, discover, progress, AI chat and profile. The case study shows how AI support can feel helpful instead of noisy when it is built around one clear daily action.
